Nice to meet me!
Growing up, the parents of Abbey's friends often described her as "spunky," which is still accurate.
Abbey was raised on musical theatre with her grandma in her ear, telling her she was the next Ethel Merman. Her passion for theatre only grew throughout the years. She began performing professionally in high school and never looked back.
Currently, Abbey is earning a degree in marketing online while she performs with different theaters. She is a unique and fearless performer with a strong work ethic. Her positivity and quick wit can energize even the most exhausted rehearsal room.

What's Up?
Abbey recently played Maria
in The Sound of Music with Plays of Wilton in Richardson Park, which she received a Silver Palm Award for.

"I was thrilled to see Abbey Alder cast in the role of a lifetime as Maria. It’s about time this local, reliable and gifted ensemble member – who always puts her heart and soul in every part, no matter how small – was pulled out of the chorus line and given the opportunity to shine! In portraying Maria, Alder proved herself to be a true triple-threat star; I forecast many more lead roles in her future." -Mindy Leaf, South Florida Theatre Magazine
"As aspiring nun turned governess Maria Rainer, Abbey Alder consistently shines. With wavy blonde hair and dark eyes, Alder is infectiously enthusiastic and charming in the role. With such winning qualities, it is immediately clear why she wins the von Trapp children over so quickly. Alder also nails Maria’s character arc, evolving gradually and almost imperceptibly as the show progresses." - Aaron Krause, Theatrical Musings
